Kepmshot Paradise And Dry Hill Falls, Lucea

 

On a holiday to Jamaica, you can’t miss out on a chance to explore the stunning trio of waterfalls in Lucea, the Kempshot, Paradise and Dry Hill Falls. Hanover Museum

Run by the Hanover Historical Society and Museum, this little museum is housed in an 18th century police barracks and jail. The place has interesting artefacts, storyboards and memorabilia that tell the history of the parish. The Museum also has a gift shop, a cafe and basic facilities.

Bulls Bay Beach

Located right across from “The Bay” restaurant, this is a small seclude beach with mostly calm waters. Great for a swim and some relaxation, the beach is mostly visited by locals with their children. There are no lifeguards or facilities around and the beach is not crowded at all

LUCEA (Fort Charlotte)

Built in the mid-eighteenth century by the British, Fort Charlotte was named in honour of Charlotte, consort of King George III. It is one of the best-preserved historical structures in Jamaica. The fort offers great seaward views and interesting insight into the history of the town. The fort has 23 embrasures and barracks that can house upto 50 men. A section of the fort is currently part of the Rusea’s High School.
