Sabine and Majumi Radicbeven are a mother and daughter couple who created Yosch Cafe in The Village. Sabine is German, but has been in Jamaica for over 32 years. Majumi, her daughter, is Jamaican born and bred. Before being in The Village, they had restaurants in other locations in Port Antonio.
Yosch Cafe serves fresh food prepared to order. They serve pizza, pasta, sandwiches, fish and seafood dinners. They serve homemade baked goods including cakes, cookies, and croissants. They have blue mountain coffee that will be prepared in a fine Italian coffee machine for espresso, cappucino, latte, etc. They have sodas, water, and are working on adding fresh juices.
Sabine has the distinction of being the first restaurant to serve pizza in Port Antonio, going back to 1984. This was a time when most Jamaicans didn’t know pizza. She also was running the small marina for 12 years before it was taken over by the government.
Yosch Cafe provides free internet to its customers, and I feel I can say unequivocally, is the Internet Cafe with the best view in Port Antonio. With The Village just off the beach of the East Bay of Port Antonio, the view of the bay and ocean is spectacular from deck. If you need some good food, a good view, and WIFI, Yosch Cafe is the place to be for a seaside office.
